SJU Junior on Mental Health

SJU Health sciences major talks about her childhood, and mental health.

SJU Junior talks about how anxiety and how it affects her work at school. The pressure to to do well in class has created an added anxiety, so she reflects on ways to take her mind off what is bothering her to stay grounded. In some ways, maintaining physical health is important when battling mental health. Getting involved in activities such as painting, exercising, and spending time with friends help her when experiencing anxiety. After graduating from St. Joe’s, she plans on applying to graduate school to be an occupational therapist.
